ELITE GRAPPLING CHAMPIONSHIP 2008 SUMER CHALLENGE

Any competitor, men or women, can participate for a chance to win the cash prize in the absolute divisions

(There is a $10 fee to participate in this division)

Weight Divisions*:

174.9 lbs and below

175 lbs and above

*minimum 2 divisions.

Minimum of 4 participants per division is required for cash prize to be awarded.

Brackets will be determined at the day of the event

RULES

All competitors fighting for the cash prize can only weight at the day of the event, at any time before the Brackets are done.

We will not accept late competitor if the Brackets are done and/or matches have started. No Exceptions made!!!

Time:

First rounds: 6 Minutes

Semi Final and Final: 8 Minutes

 

Sudden Death:

In case of a tie, there will be a 4 minutes over time. The first to score wins. In case no one scores, the referee will decide who is the winner.

 

POINTS:

Same scoring points as NO GI Rules

 

RULES:

1.All leg locks and foot locks are legal.

2.No slams over the waist.

3.If you are stalling from your guard (after 3 warnings or 30 seconds the fight will be stop and restart on their feet)

4.The referee will disqualify any competitor that moves out of the mat area to avoid a submission attempt.

5.No biting, small joint manipulations, or striking in any manner.

6.Use your opponents clothes is legal.

7.Any interference to the referee by an opponent's coach or teammates will initially result in a warning. After the first warning, the competitor will be disqualified if there is additional interference.

8.The referee will call out the points as a fighter earns them.
